timeless taste. modern events.

Born out of a love of entertaining and commitment to doing it well, Your Butler’s Pantry closes the gap between Pinterest and reality by providing the products and services needed to entertain beautifully and effortlessly.

We believe in updated nostalgia — putting a modern and informal spin on the traditions and graciousness of the past.

To that end, we collect and curate current and vintage tableware, mixing and matching color, pattern, new, old, high end and affordable. The result is a rental inventory that is far from ordinary.

Because no two parties, people or budgets are the same, YBP offers items for sale, as well as items to rent. We love to work with our clients’ existing pieces, or we can start from scratch. Our creative, trained staff will even travel to your home or venue to pull it all together on site.  Best of all, you can skip the clean-up. YBP has that covered too.

We specialize in gatherings of 12 – 60, but we will happily consider and do our best to accommodate events of any size. Our singular goal is to create a one of a kind experience that looks and feels like you. After all, we are Your Butler’s Pantry!

our people

Elizabeth Whitehead // owner

Your Butler’s Pantry represents a full circle moment for Elizabeth.  She grew up in antique stores and at estate sales tagging along after her mother. Although it was probably the cheese cubes that made auctions so alluring to young Elizabeth, she learned early to appreciate beautiful things.

Along life’s path, she majored in journalism, interned at Sotheby’s, practiced law and formed a family that brings her incredible joy.  Now she finds herself back on the hunt for antiques – searching for diamonds in the rough to pair with beautiful, modern pieces.  And she still loves cheese!

Alyssa Schmalenberger // vp of operations

Alyssa was raised right here in Houston. Born into a family of social butterflies she has always had a love of entertaining. While her parents cooked up magnificent meals for weekly dinner parties, little Alyssa could be found in the dining room setting the table and discovering new ways to fold napkins.

After attending college in Washington, D.C., Alyssa moved to the U.S. Virgin Islands. It was in the islands that she cultivated her customer service skills, while simultaneously mastering the art of throwing parties of all sizes on a budget. Alyssa is both creative and analytical. Though we don’t quite share her Herculean love of spread sheets and a good formula — we are eternally grateful for her passionate attention to detail.
